My name is Robin Allen, I am from Parry Sound but currently live in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. I have always enjoyed photography, but just in the last few years have embraced it fully.
My first camera was a Nikon 35mm Camera when I was 12. Then slowly moving to digital I was using little point and shoots cameras like Sony, Kodiak, ect. When I met my husband, we decided to update to a Nikon P100. This was a great little camera. It unfortunately broke, but I got a free update to a Nikon P500 Red.
I then joined the Porcupine Photo Club (https://www.facebook.com/groups/porcupinephotoclub/) in early 2012 after taking a photography course how to use all the buttons on my new camera. Thank You Mark Durocher (www.marcdurocher.com) for teaching me never to use the dreaded Auto Mode ever again.
Learning my little Nikon is great, but very limited in stuff I can do. So I took the plunge in December 2012 and purchased myself for Christmas a Nikon 5100 with SB-700 Speed Light & 300 telephoto lens. I now also know own a Sony DSLR with a manual Macro lens.
